Publishing Ethics

ProScholar Insights (PSI) (PSI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. We follow rigorous guidelines to ensure the credibility, integrity, and transparency of the research and scholarly works published in our educational journal.

Author Responsibilities:

  1. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Proper citation and acknowledgment of others' work must be given. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and can lead to immediate rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
  2. Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for providing accurate data and information. Fabrication or manipulation of data is a serious offense and will be treated accordingly.
  3. Multiple Submissions: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Simultaneous submissions can lead to ethical dilemmas, duplication, and waste of valuable resources.
  4. Authorship: Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and should be able to defend its content.
  5. Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may influence the research or manuscript.

Editor Responsibilities:

  1. Fair and Unbiased Evaluation: Editors are committed to conducting transparent, fair, and unbiased evaluation processes. Decisions to accept or reject manuscripts are based solely on their scientific merit, relevance to the journal, and adherence to ethical standards.
  2. Confidentiality: Editors must ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and the peer review process. They should not disclose any information about the manuscript or its content to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and other editorial team members.
  3. Editorial Independence: Editors should exercise their roles without any influence or interference from outside parties, ensuring unbiased decision-making processes.
  4. Conflict of Interest: Editors should not handle manuscripts that may involve a conflict of interest due to personal, professional, or financial relationships.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  1. Objective and Constructive Review: Reviewers are expected to provide unbiased, constructive, and timely feedback to improve the quality of manuscripts. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.
  2. Confidentiality: Reviewers must keep all details about the manuscript and the review process confidential. They should not share or discuss the manuscript with anyone other than the editor.
  3. Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should decline review invitations if they have conflicts of interest, such as close collaborations or competition with the authors.

Research Ethics:

  1. Human and Animal Subjects: Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards and obtain necessary approvals. Authors should clearly state the ethical considerations in their methods section.
  2. Informed Consent: Authors must obtain informed consent from participants involved in their research, ensuring their rights, privacy, and anonymity are protected.
  3. Data Transparency: Authors should provide access to raw data whenever possible, allowing the research community to validate and replicate the findings.

We encourage the academic community to embrace these ethical principles, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and maintaining the integrity of scientific research. By adhering to these guidelines, we can foster a responsible and credible scholarly publishing environment.
