Plagiarism Guidelines

ProScholar Insights (PSI) remains committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. To ensure that the content published in our journal is authentic and based on rigorous research, we have established the following plagiarism guidelines:

  1. Definition of Plagiarism: Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's work, ideas, or words without giving proper credit or acknowledging the original source. This includes, but is not limited to, copying and pasting text, paraphrasing without proper citation, using someone else's data or images, or any attempt to present someone else's work as your own.
  2. Originality and Attribution: Authors submitting their research to ProScholar Insights (PSI) must guarantee that the content is original and has not been previously published in any form. Any external sources, including text, ideas, concepts, or research findings, must be properly cited and referenced according to the journal's citation style guidelines, such as APA, MLA, or Chicago.
  3. Self-Plagiarism: Authors should avoid extensively reusing their own previously published work without appropriate citation. Any content that has been previously published must be properly acknowledged and referenced to prevent self-plagiarism.
  4. Proper Citations and References: Authors are responsible for accurately citing and referencing all external sources used in their articles. Direct quotations, paraphrased information, statistics, images, or any other form of intellectual property that is not original should be explicitly referenced using the appropriate citation style.
  5. Avoiding Unethical Practices: Authors should refrain from engaging in unethical practices such as ghostwriting, guest authorship, or any other form of falsifying authorship. All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research or preparation of the article should be listed as co-authors and properly acknowledged.
  6. Plagiarism Detection: ProScholar Insights (PSI) utilizes plagiarism detection software to screen submitted manuscripts for potential cases of plagiarism. Any suspected cases will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate actions will be taken, which may include rejection of the manuscript.
  7. Consequences of Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript, the following actions may be taken:
  8. Rejection: The manuscript will be rejected, and the author will be notified of the reasons for rejection.
  9. Retraction: If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article may be retracted from ProScholar Insights (PSI). A notice of retraction will be published, clearly stating the reasons for retraction.
  10. Blacklisting: Authors found guilty of plagiarism may be barred from submitting future manuscripts to ProScholar Insights (PSI). This decision will be made at the discretion of the editorial team.
  11. Appeals and Ethical Concerns: Authors who believe their work has been wrongfully accused of plagiarism may appeal the decision by providing a detailed explanation and evidence to support their claim. The editorial team will review the appeal and make a fair and unbiased decision.

By adhering to these plagiarism guidelines, authors will contribute to the maintenance of academic integrity, ensuring the credibility and reputation of educational research published in ProScholar Insights (PSI).
